A thunderstorm accompanied by spectacular lightning and light rain rolled through northern Utah early Monday.

For the rest of the day, partly cloudy skies with a 30 percent chance of a few more isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected, according to the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City.

Scattered storms will continue into the evening. High temperatures will reach about 90 with lows in the low 60s.

In St. George and parts of southern Utah, temperatures are expected to reach above 100 with 10 to 20 mph southwest winds trying to cool things down.

Wind will remain through the evening as temperatures drop to around 70 degrees.
