Flood warnings still in effect for some rivers

Flood warnings remained in effect for several rivers in Utah the day after Independence Day.

Minor flooding is expected along the Little Cottonwood Creek near Murray Park, the National Weather Service reported. The warning will remain in effect until 4:30 p.m.

Another warning along the upper Weber River in Summit County expires after 11:15 a.m.

In Cache County, the Spring Creek near Providence and the Logan River will remain above flood stage until 1 p.m. Tuesday and 3:45 p.m. Wednesday respectively.

Also, upper Stillwater Reservoir was full Tuesday and spilling increasing flooding along parts of the Duchesne River.

There was a 30 percent chance of rain in Salt Lake and Tooele counties Tuesday afternoon with a 40 percent chance this evening, the National Weather Service reported.
