A maintenance worker at Stansbury Park Golf Course died Friday morning when his riding lawn mower went into a pond, trapping the man underneath.
G. Neil Magann, 73, was riding the mower and apparently drove too close to the pond's edge, the Tooele County Sheriff's Office said in a news release. The mower flipped over and pinned Magann under the water.
Golfers found the man about 8:15 a.m. and called 911.
Officials from the Sheriff's Office and the Utah Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating. A medical examiner has yet to determine the cause of death.
