A man accused of breaking into a Salt Lake City home and assaulting a woman will spend a year in jail.

Henry Castro-Miranda, 40, was sentenced last month on one count of attempted rape, a first-degree felony.

He broke into a home in the 1100 South block on Redwood Drive. A woman inside told police Castro-Miranda was enraged and told her, "You are going to make love," then choked her and tried to rape her.
