A homicide victim may have been dead for two days before police found her last week, according to court documents.

Todd Eugene Anderson, 42, was charged Thursday in 3rd District Court with first-degree felony murder. He is accused of killing his girlfriend, 39-year-old Jennifer Schubach.

Police found the woman dead in her Marmalade neighborhood apartment April 29. Anderson told police he killed the woman two days earlier, according to the charges.

Anderson told Salt Lake City police that he killed Schubach by putting her in a wrestling hold during a fight, court documents say. The murder charge carries up to life in prison.

Schubach's father has said his daughter and Anderson began dating earlier this year and Schubach had become afraid of Anderson. Schubach had two daughters, ages 18 and 22.
