Singing stampede • The city is holding auditions to sing "The Star Spangled Banner" at the annual Western Stampede. Auditions are in five-minute intervals from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday at City Hall. Judges will select 10 finalists, whose videos will be placed online for public vote. All who audition must sing the national anthem. Herriman

Seeking service-minded scholars • Herriman city has three scholarships, which will be awarded based on a 24-hour community-service project. Amounts are $1,000, $700 and $500. Applications are due to the Herriman City Offices by June 1, with winners announced at Fort Herriman Days on June 26. Riverton

Apply for arts fest • Applications are being accepted for the annual Riverton Arts Festival, set for June 9-11. Food and craft vendors may apply for booth space at the festival.
