Utah Valley University students from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today through March 25 will fold thousands of origami paper cranes"as a gesture of hope for the safety of the victims of the recent disasters in Japan," according to a news release.
Student members of the UVU Japan Club and the International Student Council organized the event as a fundraiser for relief efforts aimed at the March 11 earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
