Civic involvement • The public can discuss city issues with staff and elected officials at the Mayor's Town Hall Open House from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at City Hall, 2600 W. Taylorsville Blvd. (5325 South).


Back to school • Teens can drop by Kearns Library, 5350 S. 4220 South, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Monday for a short library orientation and a free treat.

West Valley City

Run with the dogs • Run or walk with your dog at the K9-2K race, which begins 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Family Fitness Center, 5415 W. 3100 South. Registration is 9:30 to 10 a.m., and the $15 fee includes a gift for each participating dog. See details at http://bit.ly/NQoCo3.
