Salt Lake City Democrats will choose between two neighbors Tuesday.
Rep. Neal Hendrickson and Liz Muniz, neighbors and Democratic candidates, will face off for a spot on the ticket District 33. Whoever wins the primary will face Republican candidate Craig Hall in the November election.

After Hendrickson — who has lived three block from Muniz for more than 20 years — could not remember her name, she decided to enter the race for House representative.
"I decided that people in the district deserve representation that they can count on to remember them," Muniz said.
Hendrickson said he did not recall the exchange.
"I don’t remember a lot of names," Hendrickson admitted. "I’m not very good with names."
Muniz seeks to uphold women’s rights, represent the working family and ensure that educators have all the materials they need to effectively teach. As a Latina, Muniz said she will better relate to Utah’s women and minority residents.
Hendrickson said he may not be as liberal as Muniz, but said he has represented the county well. The incumbent, though, acknowledged that he has passed little legislation during his 22 years in office. He has sponsored 59 bills in the past 16 years.
"I haven’t run a lot of bills, but that’s not the true test of effectiveness," Hendrickson said.
He said if elected, he will not be swayed by his party to vote a certain way.

He said the bills he has passed and the efforts he has made to represent the county serve as his platform.
Voters will determine whether Hendrickson will take on another term or if Muniz will be better suited to represent the county.
