Lights, cameras, action! • The City Council voted unanimously April 4 to accept a $2,000 grant from the Economic Development Corporation of Utah, a private nonprofit organization that works to attract businesses to the state and to expand existing businesses. With its matching contribution of $2,000, Taylorsville will make videos marketing itself.

West Valley City

Spring Egg Exhibition • Brian Baity's carved eggs — including one showcasing West Valley vignettes — will be on display through April 25 at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center, 1355 W. 3100 South. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
