Mike Trout hit safely in the first 14 games of the PCL season as Salt Lake bolted out of the gate with a 14-6 start, the best so far in the Pacific North Division.
Trout leads the Bees, who open a four-game homestand Thursday against Reno (6-14) at Spring Mobile Ballpark, in most offensive categories, including a robust .419 batting average with five triples.

So far, the offense has had the most attention. Players such as Trout, Kole Calhoun and Jorge Cantu have Salt Lake in front of the PCL with a .322 batting average to go with a league best 134 runs scored.
However, on the mound, Salt Lake has also performed well. With Garrett Richards (3-0) and Brad Mills (2-0) leading the way, the Bees own the fourth-best earned-run average in the PCL at 3.67.
Both pitchers have an ERA less than two runs a game.
