After a fast start, the Jazz have lost four of their last five games, including two in a row. Utah has fallen to 13-11 overall, despite one of the best home court records in the league (11-4).
Meanwhile, Oklahoma City has a 20-6 record after losing Thursday night at Sacramento.
The Thunder have emerged as one of the favorites to win the West behind the play of Most Valuable Player candidate Kevin Durant and his sidekick at point guard, Russell Westbrook.
Durant averages 27.3 points per game and shoots over 50 percent from the field. Westbrook averages 22.3 points and 5.9 assists per game.
In back-to-back losses to New York and Indiana, the Jazz have been vulnerable to opposing point guards — neither with the credentials of Westbrook.
Jeremy Lin led the Knicks to a 99-88 win with 28 points and eight assists. Darren Collison finished with 25 points and five assists in the Pacers’ 104-99 victory over Utah.
