The nation’s top scoring Division I basketball player plies his trade about 40 minutes north of Salt Lake City.
With Damian Lillard averaging more than 25 points a game, the Weber State Wildcats are once again at the top of the Big Sky Conference. Saturday, they host Northern Arizona in a key conference game in the Dee Events Center in Ogden.

On Thursday, Lillard burned Portland State for 40 points, just one off his career-high and two off the arena record. Lillard was 13-of-18 from field, including 6-of-8 from 3-point land.
It was the sixth time in school history a Wildcat (17-4, 9-1) has scored 40 or more points in a game. By the way, Lillard added five assists.
Lillard scored 38 points against Portland State on Jan. 7 in Portland giving him 78 points against the Vikings this season.
Scott Bamforth added 16 points and pulled down a career-high eight rebounds while matching his career-high with seven assists. Kyle Bullinger added eight points for the Wildcats.
