Two teens lauded for volunteer work

awards • Two Utah students are the state’s top volunteers in the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards. Eric Babb, 16, a sophomore at the Utah County Academy of Science, recruited more than 2,200 people over the past five years to help him remove invasive weeds from a wilderness park near his Highland home. Riverton’s Morgan Barron, 13, an eighth-grader at South Hills Middle School, spearheaded several initiatives to grow vegetables for the hungry.
