courts • Utah State Courts are sponsoring the annual "Judge for a Day" program in recognition of Law Day, which is celebrated on May 1. Utah high-school students are invited to participate in the program by submitting an essay, civic-involvement résumé or teacher nomination letter. The topic, for students who choose to write an essay, is "The American Jury: We the People in Action." Applications are due March 2. Visit www.utcourts.gov/media/lawday.
