South Jordan

Safe drug disposal day • On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the city is sponsoring curbside drop-off of unused or expired prescription medications. Part of a national take-back initiative, this event aims to keep addictive and life-threatening substances out of the wrong hands. These items can be dropped off on the east side of City Hall at 1600 W. Towne Center Drive (10600 South).

West Jordan

Theater performance of 'Charley's Aunt' • This three-act farce by Brandon Thomas dates back to the late 1800s and is presented by the Sugar Factory Playhouse at the new library's Viridian Event Center, 8030 S. 1825 West. Performances start at 7:30 p.m. today through Monday, with a 2 p.m. matinee Saturday. Tickets cost $8 for adults, $5 for students and seniors, and can be purchased at the door or at Macey's, 7859 S. 3200 West.
