Let the sun shine in.

That's a new motto at the Utah headquarters of Associated General Contractors (AGC), where officials on Tuesday unveiled 134 solar panels added to the roof of the facility at 2207 S. 1070 West, Salt Lake City.

Rocky Mountain Power's Blue Sky renewable energy program awarded AGC about $136,000 to fund the panels' installation, a news release said.

The panels are expected to generate about 55,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, roughly equivalent to the amount used by six Utah homes.

Rocky Mountain Power said the AGC project is one of 104 community-based renewable energy projects in Utah that the Blue Sky program has funded since 2006.
