Maybe April Fools Day stresses people. Or perhaps the economy and hassle of modern life has people more worried than ever before.

Whatever the reason, The Health Resource Network is preparing to celebrate the 22nd annual Stress Awareness Month in April. Stress Awareness Month is a national, cooperative effort to inform people about the dangers of stress, successful coping strategies and harmful misconceptions about stress.

During the annual 30-day period, health care professionals and health promotion experts across the country will join forces to increase awareness of both the causes and cures for the modern stress epidemic.

"Even though we've learned a lot about stress in the past 20 years, we've got a long ways to go," said Dr. Morton C. Orman, founder and director of HRN. New information is now available that could help millions of Americans eliminate their suffering."

Information on Stress Awareness Month including how to download a free e-book on stress is available at http://www.stressawarenessmonth.com.

The HRN is a nonprofit health education organization.
