Car buffs unite!
The 40th annual Parts Plus AutoRama opens its three-day run at the South Towne Expo Center in Sandy Friday. The event features hundreds of custom cars, classics, hot rods, trucks, motorcycles and race cars as well as automotive parts.
Hollywood classic cars scheduled to be exhibited include the Black Beauty from "The Green Hornet," the Delorean from "Back to the Future," KITT from "Knight Rider," the Charger from "The Fast and the Furious" and the Gran Torino from "Mad Max."
Special this year will be an exhibit celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Ford Mustang.
Celebrities appearing including WWE wrestler Chris Jericho and First Lady of Racing Linda Vaughn who will appear Saturday starting at noon and Rick and Kelly Dale of American Restoration who will appear Sunday from noon to 3 p.m.
Hours are 3 to 10 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $16 for adults and $5 for kids six to 12. For information, log on to http://www.autorama.com.
