University of Utah to offer online MBA

The University of Utah will offer an online Master’s of Business Administration degree in the fall.

The curriculum is based on the school’s professional MBA, a 2-year evening program aimed at early-career workers.

The program will have the same core classes and will also include multi-media enhanced lectures, team projects and video conferencing discussions between students and faculty. Tuition for the full program is $55,000.

Brad Vierig, associate dean of part-time MBA programs, said the U. created the program after hearing from students in the Salt Lake City area who didn’t have time to attend a program at night, as well as other prospective pupils in southern Utah.

"It’s going to be a great offering for those that are both in Salt Lake City [and] … Idaho, Wyoming, and other surrounding states," he said. For more information or to submit an application, visit utahmba.com.
