Overstock.com moves retail outlet from Sandy to Salt Lake City
Salt Lake City-based discount retailer Overstock.com has moved its outlet store in Sandy to its company warehouse at 1790 S. 4800 West, Suite D.
Overstock.com sells merchandise from jewelry to electronics at discount prices from the over-stocked inventory from manufacturers.
Stores hours for the retail store are Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The store is about 10,000 square feet and has more than 1,000 different products that change almost weekly.
"The products in our outlet store will be priced well below Overstock.com's already discounted prices. In fact, these products will be priced below Overstock.com's first cost. Shoppers at the store should be able to find some amazing bargains," Overstock.com Executive Vice Chairman Jonathan Johnson said in a statement.
Overstock.com, which began in 1999 and employs 1,280 people, generated more than $1 billion in revenue in 2012. It has 984,000 products on sale on its website.
Last week, the company announced it is now offering prescription glasses and sunglasses through its website.
