Utah's High West Distillery & Saloon was named one of the "World's Best Après-Ski Scenes" by the travel service and magazine "Jet Setter."
High West was selected for its gourmet food and drinks, along with its distinct location in a 100-year-old former livery stable.
"You can still drink like a prospector," the magazine said, citing the wood-paneled walls and award-winning craft whiskeys. But in sidling up to the bar "made of reclaimed wood from the Great Salt Lake Trestle Bridge of 1904," diners can also enjoy items "those miners of yore could never have dreamed up" including whiskey cider braised short ribs and pan-seared Utah trout with a roasted cherry and caper berry sauce.
