Millions of Americans will start their holiday shopping engines even before the turkey is on the table this Thanksgiving Day, but opponents say there is another way. Buy Nothing Day is billed as an international day of protest against over-consumption, and believers encourage boycotting Black Friday as a way to blunt ever-growing consumerism.
