The Salt Lake County Library System is now offering an even bigger catalog of digital music thanks to its partnership with Hoopla, a digital company that also provides movies and audiobooks for the library system.

Hoopla announced it has made its catalog of 300,000 songs available for streaming to county library patrons. All customers need is the Hoopla mobile app available for both iOS and Android devices.

Once patrons input their library card number, they can stream songs by first borrowing them, a process similar to how Hoopla lends out movies and audiobooks.

The service is free to library customers.

Hoopla's music content is available through the library in addition to the county's other library music service called Freegal. In addition to songs, Freegal also has music videos available to borrow.
