NEW YORK • Chobani is pulling some of its Greek yogurt from supermarket shelves after hearing of "swelling or bloating" in cups.
Chobani says it has been working with retailers to remove containers with the code 16-012 and expiration dates Sept. 11 to Oct. 7. The company did not say how many of its cups or what varieties were affected. It was unclear if the cups at issue were produced in its New York factory or its production facility in Twin Falls, Idaho.
It said it was not issuing a formal recall of the products.
The New Berlin, N.Y.-based company also would not say what caused the problem, but said it believes it has addressed the issue.
