A Florida-based company that provides health-insurance consulting and enrollment services for its clients says it needs to hire 150 new employees for its Salt Lake City call center by this Friday.

C3/CustomerContactChannels of Plantation, Fla., which has operated an 800-seat call center in Salt Lake City for the past three years, needs to hire the additional customer-service agents almost immediately to ensure they are trained, licensed and ready to help callers when the annual health-insurance enrollment season begins in October.

The majority of the jobs that are available are seasonal health-care positions that run through December, said Denise Murray, director of talent acquisition for C3. "But we have openings all the time for full-time positions and those we have hired for our seasonal positions always are offered those opportunities first. So taking a seasonal position can be an important foot in the door."

Pay rates start at $12 an hour, Murray said, nothing that those who complete the seasonal assignment will be given an extra $250.

C3 will pay all the cost for training and licensing, which is needed so its employees can take calls and help people sign up for health insurance during the annual enrollment season, Murray said. "Those who are not hired full time still will have a health-care license, which can cost as much as $4,000, to take with them," she said.

She said successful applicants will begin training either Sept. 3 or Sept. 10 at the company's MAD (Making A Difference) House at 5205 Wiley Post Way in the Salt Lake International Center.

Those who are interested can apply online at http://www.c3connect.com, or they can go directly into to the MAD House center and apply.
