Westminster College in Salt Lake City has named Lisa Gentile as the new dean of the college's School of Arts and Sciences. Nohemy Solórzano-Thompson has been named the associate provost for diversity and global learning. Gentile will oversee the college's core academic units, which offer courses and degrees across the arts, humanities, social sciences and natural sciences. As the new associate provost for diversity and global learning, Solórzano-Thompson will advocate on behalf of groups historically underrepresented in higher education.

The Utah-based law firm of Snow, Christensen & Martineau has announced that Nathan A. Crane has joined the firm. He has extensive experience with complex criminal defense and civil litigation in state and federal courts.

Management & Training Corp., Centerville, has named Marjorie Brown vice president of corrections for the company's region IV. She joined MTC in 2006 as a state administrator to oversee MTC Medical's Tennessee Department of Correction health services contract. MTC is a private operator of correctional facilities with 24 facilities in eight states.

Spectrum Engineers, Salt Lake City, has announced that Chris Eversole joined the firm recently as an associate mechanical engineer. He has more than 14 years experience in consulting, design and engineering of education, healthcare, laboratory, commercial and sustainable projects.

CIT Bank, Salt Lake City, has hired Janie Schaaf as assistant vice president over retirement accounts. She has more than 13 years experience in retirement accounts, legal processing, compliance and banking systems. Schaaf previously worked at Zions Bancorp.

BrandHive, a Salt Lake City-based marketing agency, has announced that Gary Gonzalez and Meet Nagar have joined the firm. Gonzalez has joined the firm as public relations coordinator. Nagar has joined the firm as a marketing assistant.

Axiom Financial, a full-service mortgage company with locations throughout Utah, has appointed industry veteran Brandon Welch branch manager of its St. George office.

The University of Utah's Eccles School of Business has appointed educator and entrepreneur Dave Harris as the new director of its full-time MBA program. Harris is a former president of Robert B. Miller College and, most recently, the founder and CEO of an Oklahoma City-based college and career readiness company called Prep Cafe.

Vivint, a Utah-based home automation services provider, has hired Todd Thompson as chief information officer. Thompson was previously CIO for JetBlue Airways and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.
