Very Jane, a Lehi-based boutique daily deal site, has donated 100 women's coats to the Family Support Center of Salt Lake and the Safe Harbor Crisis Center serving Davis County.

"We're so grateful to receive this donation that our clients will love," said Bonnie Peters, executive director of Family Support Center, which focuses on moving single women with children in abusive situations from dependency to self-sufficiency.

"We work with many women who are trying to rebuild their lives, and having access to new, fashionable clothing can be a huge boost to their self-esteem. The donations will be very useful for clients who have limited clothing options for job interviews and other professional engagements."

Very Jane, which offers retail and handcrafted items at a discount at veryjane.com, "felt that a donation to help women in need was one that would resonate with our customers and sellers." said CEO Mike McEwan.

Safe Harbor Crisis Center offers an emergency shelter, outreach services, transitional housing, counseling and support groups, a 24-hour crisis hot line, a rape crisis response team and protective order assistance.
