Airbus and Boeing won purchase pledges on lucrative long-haul wide-body jets at the Paris Air Show Monday, raising hopes that demand is recovering from the global recession. Signaling an uptick, the global aviation event at Le Bourget airfield north of Paris also is a backdrop for the Boeing-Airbus rivalry.

A new study conducted by PC Magazine showed that AT&T had the fastest 4G data network across 30 major cities in the U.S. including Salt Lake City. The tech magazine found that AT&T was fastest while Verizon's network as most reliable in SLC. The study can be found at http://www.pcmag.com.

Approval of a massive U.S. farm bill — and the cost of a gallon of milk — could hinge on a dairy program that has split Congressional leaders from farm states. The new program cuts price supports and lets farmers buy new insurance to cover the gap between milk prices and feed costs.

Netflix cuts deal

for first-run shows
