As the summer driving season approaches, the hunt for the lowest gas prices can become a priority for motorists. A quick trip on the information highway, however, might save drivers some time and cash at the pump. Here are a few websites that provide updated gas prices for most areas:

Automotive.com • Check gas prices in a specific area by state and county, at http://www.automotive.com/gas-prices/index.html

GasBuddy.com • Select a U.S. state or Canadian province to begin search for lowest local gas prices, at http://www.gasbuddy.com

GasPriceWatch.com • Track gas prices by state and town, and examine price and crude oil trends, at http://www.gaspricewatch.com

U.S. Department of Energy • Interactive states map takes user to local links with gas price information, at http://1.usa.gov/2GQSl.
