Fifty backcountry skiers will be at Powder Mountain Resort above Ogden from Wednesday through Sunday to test touring and telemark gear for Backcountry Magazine.

The pros will test roughly 400 skis, boosts and bindings for five days. The results will appear in the magazine's 2014 Gear Guide, which will be on newsstands in August, said magazine managing editor Tyler Cohen.
