to fight hunger
Squatters and Wasatch brew pubs have raised more than $10,000 to fight hunger in Utah. Their donations were made to Utahns Against Hunger and Hildegard’s Food Pantry, both of Salt Lake City, and the Christian Center of Park City.

DJH Engineering Center has earned recognition as Enterprise Supplier of the Year in the John Deere Achieving Excellence Program. Salt Lake City-based DJH also was inducted into the Supplier Hall of Fame for achieving a partner-level rating for five consecutive years.

to resign post
Electronics Arts CEO John Riccitiello, who presided over a rocky six-year period at the video game giant, is resigning from the company. Neither EA nor Riccitiello explained the reason for his departure, although both said it was the right time for a change. Electronic Arts has operations in Salt Lake City.

A federal grand jury has charged the former head of the California Public Employees’ Retirement System and one of his business associates in an influence peddling and bribery case. Fred Buenrostro, a former CalPERS CEO, and former CalPERS board member Alfred Villalobos alleged fabricated financial documents to dupe a prominent investment firm into paying $20 million in fees to Villalobos’ firms in return for investing $3 billion worth of CalPERS’ money.
