The Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce is teaming with ApplyUtah.com, Monster.com and MediaOne to offer a free job and career fair Tuesday at the South Towne Expo Center.
The event, at 9575 S. State St. in Sandy, runs from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Dozens of Utah companies with job openings will attend, chamber spokeswoman Lauren Doxey said.
"As our economy continues to improve and demand for employees increases, we feel it is important to help our local companies find well-qualified employees," Doxey said.
Some of the companies sending representatives to the event will be 1-800 Contacts, Discover Financial, Mountain America Credit Union, and Debbie's Tupperware.
Doxey said applicants unable to attend on Tuesday can visit the Sandy Area Chamber's virtual job fair, at http://www.sandychamberjobfair.com through March 25.
Visitors to the site can create a profile, upload their resumes, browse participating employers, and apply directly for jobs. —
