With six weeks to go before the tax filing deadline, the Internal Revenue Service now says it's ready to accept all tax returns. Several tax forms had to be updated and tax processing systems had to be reprogrammed and retested, thanks to the fiscal cliff legislation. That delayed the filing dates for several tax forms including college tax credits and residential energy credits. At this point, the IRS recommends filing online (or filing for an extension) at http://www.irs.gov.
