Facebook will take down some so-called tribute pages related to the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting over concerns they’re exploiting the tragedy. Echoing complaints brought by some Sandy Hook families, key U.S. senators had sought the removal in a letter to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

Barnes & Noble founder and chairman Leonard Riggio, its largest shareholder, wants to buy the chain’s stores and website. The bookseller has struggled as readers shift to electronic books and competition grows from discount stores and online. Barnes & Noble’s Nook e-book readers, though, are not part of Riggio’s potential deal.

KFC launches

KFC hopes to rebuild its battered brand in China, with a campaign promising tighter quality controls after a scandal over poultry suppliers. KFC, owned by Yum Brands, is China’s biggest fast-food chain with more than 4,000 outlets. It was hit hard by reports in December that some suppliers violated rules on drug use to fatten chickens.
Nielson to alter
its measures
of TV viewers
In September, the Nielsen company will measure viewership through broadband devices like game consoles for the first time, as a step toward adapting to TV audiences spread over DVRs, video on demand and streaming services, tablets and smartphones.
