Colvin Engineering Associates, a Salt Lake City-based mechanical engineering firm, has announced that Stephen Connor has been named president of the company. Roger Hamlet and Bret Christiansen have been named vice presidents. Founder Tom Colvin remains a full-time senior consultant.

The Board of Directors of GSBS Architects has elected Kevin B. Miller president. He has served as managing director for seven years and was named CEO last year. Firm Founder Michael J. Stransky has been awarded the title of president-emeritus and will continue to be associated with the company he co-founded in 1979. Valerie Nagasawa has been named a director. She joined GSBS Architects in 2000.

Spectrum Engineers has announced that technology systems engineer Russell P. Naegle has earned the Registered Communications Distribution Designer designation from BICSI, a professional association supporting the information transport systems industry.

Allen Vickers, corporate credit manager for A&K Railroad Materials Inc. in Salt Lake City, has been elected to a three-year term on the national board of directors for the National Association of Credit Management in Columbia, Md.

Amedica, a Salt Lake City-based spinal and reconstructive medical device manufacturer, has announced that Vytas Rupinskas has joined the company as vice president of marketing. Paul Sendro, formerly senior vice president of sales for Amedica, will be leading the company's strategic market development initiatives. Jim Abraham has joined as senior vice president of sales. And, Kevin Ontiveros has joined as chief legal and compliance officer.

Allegiance, a Salt Lake City-based provider of VOCi (voice of customer intelligence) technology and services, has announced that Dana Russell has been appointed chief financial officer. Russell will be responsible for all operational functions at Allegiance, including human resources, facilities, sales operations, finance and accounting.
