Orthopedic surgeon Christopher Belton has joined Associates in Orthopaedic Surgery in West Valley City. The practice is a member of the Physician Group of Utah. His previous practice was in Tooele.

Theresa Gourde and Karen Olson-Fields have opened Herriman Medical Clinic, which is a member of Physician Group of Utah. Gourde is a board-certified internal medicine specialist. Olson-Fields in a board-certified family nurse practitioner.

Frank Jorgenson has been named vice president and sales executive at Sterling Ascend Insurance Resour-ces. A Utah native, Jorgenson will work from the firm's Park City office and be responsible for sales, client services and senior carrier relationships.

Erik Tadje has been hired to serve as vice president and commercial loan officer at Brighton Bank's Cottonwood office. He has 10 years of commercial, industrial and real estate lending experience. Alan Kay Tibbitts, vice president and commercial loan officer, has been named area branch supervisor and business development officer. He previously served as branch manager at the bank's South Salt Lake office.

The law firm of Snell & Wilmer in Salt Lake City has announced the election of Michael A. Gehret as a partner. The promotion went into effect on Jan. 1. Gehret represents commercial and residential developers, ski resorts, contractors, lending institutions, homeowners associations and political subdivisions in all manner of disputes involving real property.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage has named Jared Payne as managing broker of its Downtown at the Junction office in Ogden. Payne has worked in real estate for more than 17 years and has served in many capacities, including managing broker, owner and district broker.

The Salt Lake City-based engineering firm of Forsgren Associates has announced that Alan Taylor has joined its civil engineering team as senior project manager. He has more than 25 years of experience working with public and private entities. His expertise includes water system design and hydraulics, and pump station and sanitary sewer system design.

Michael Richardson has joined First Utah Bank as vice president and manager of the leasing department. He previously worked at TAB Bank and has more than 14 years experience in the banking and finance industry.

MonaVie, a Utah-based multilevel marketing company that sells nutritional products, has announced the promotion of two of its executives, Katy Holt-Larsen to vice president of North America, and Shawn Talbott to chief science officer.

The Salt Lake law firm of Holland & Hart has announced election of Eric Bawden as a partner. Bawden counsels clients in the legal aspects of business operations and is experienced in helping them form, acquire, finance, operate and sell businesses in a variety of industries.

Chris Ashworth of Wilson Electronics has been named a "Leader Under 40" by Control Engineering. The magazine's program identifies and recognizes 10 young engineers who have made significant contributions toward the control engineering profession. Ashworth, a Brigham Young University graduate, is a key contributor to the technology found inside Wilson Electronics' cellphone signal boosters.
