"As the result of the rapid growth and success of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies, I have been working to more appropriately structure our organization to be positioned for future growth," Miller said in a statement announcing the restructuring.
Miller Management is located at Jordan Commons in Sandy. It includes the core areas of corporate governance, strategy, government relations, acquisitions, expansion, startups and divestitures. Also the company’s finance, accounting and human resource operations will fall under that division’s umbrella.
Miller Sports Properties is located at the EnergySolutions Arena in downtown Salt Lake City with Steve Miller being appointed to the newly created position of chief operating officer. Miller Sports will oversee the operations of the Utah Jazz, Salt Lake Bees, EnergySolutions Area, Miller Motorsports Park, KJZZ TV, 1280 The Zone Radio, Tour of Utah and All-Star Catering.
"Randy Rigby will continue his role as president of the Utah Jazz," Greg Miller said. "With his success record and the recent addition of Dennis Lindsey (as general manager), we have the capacity to put forth a top-notch effort to bring a championship caliber team in pursuit of an NBA title."
Bob Hyde has been named executive vice president of Miller Retail Properties, which is based in South Salt Lake City. That division includes the company’s Fanzz sports apparel stores, Megaplex Theatres and ProStop convenience stores. Hyde will retain his responsibilities as president of Fanzz, and chief financial officer and "capologist" for the Utah Jazz.
In another move, Linda Luchetti has been appointed executive vice president of communications for the Larry H. Miller Group. She will now oversee all internal and external communications for the company and will be based out of the corporate headquarters in Jordan Commons.
