Greg Blackburn has been selected as vice president of clinical support services for Intermountain Healthcare. He previously served as the operations officer for Intermountain's McKay-Dee Hospital Center in Ogden.

The Salt Lake City-based law firm of Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy has announced that Dale F. Gardiner has been appointed to the firm's board of directors. He is a member of the firm's litigation section and focuses on the areas of governmental relations and water law. The firm also announced that Marlin K. Jensen will join the firm's tax, estate and benefit planning group. Jensen began the practice of law in 1970, but interrupted that to serve as a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from 1989 to 2012. Jensen most recently served in the capacity of church historian and recorder.

Snell & Wilmer has announced that Denise Dragoo, a partner in the law firm's Salt Lake City office, has been elected vice chair of the board of directors for State Law Resources Inc. She will serve for one year before she is appointed chairman and president. SLR is an international network of independent law firms. Snell & Wilmer also announced that Mark O. Morris, a partner in the firm's Salt Lake City office, has been elected chair-elect of the Utah State Bar construction section. He will serve in 2013 and become chairman in 2014.

The Salt Lake Office of Coldwell Banker Commercial announced that real estate broker and industrial land specialist Eric Larsen has joined the firm and will serve with the industrial division for Utah County and South Salt Lake County. He will be involved in expanding the firm's footprint across various commercial real estate sectors.

Chris Diener has joined AbsolutData as senior vice president. As member of the leadership team at the global analytics and research firm, he will direct efforts to scale the company and double head count in the next year after a recent $20 million round of investment by Fidelity Growth Partners.

Quadna, a company that engineers, fabricates and services mechanical systems that move fluids and gases for industrial applications, has hired Nathan Jones as sales engineer for its West Ogden location. Prior to joining Quadna, Jones served as turbine engineer for the Navajo Generating Station in Page, Ariz., which is operated by Salt River Project. He also was the plant manager for Box Canyon Dam, part of the river hydro-generating plant operated by the county public utility district in Pend Oreille County, Washington.

Robert Mayer, a family and consumer studies professor at the University of Utah, and Gena Jones, senior credit administrator at Zions Bank, have joined AAA Fair Credit Foundation's board of directors. Addie Maudsley, an attorney at Chapman & Cutler, has been appointed as the board chair.

Todd Otanez, has been hired as the administrative director of Assessment, Counseling, & Educational Services, a nonprofit agency that provides domestic violence and substance abuse treatment for its clients based on a sliding fee scale. Otanez has 30 years of experience working with the state's Division of Child and Family Services.

Derrick Peterson has joined Deseret First Credit Union as chief financial officer. Deseret First is a Salt Lake City-based credit union with 10 branches in Utah. Peterson previously held the same position at Greater Texas Federal Credit Union in Austin, Texas.
