TV’s Pennington featured at Salt Lake Home Show
Expo » Other advice gurus, vendors on hand for 3-day event, which opens Friday.

A visit from design expert Ty Pennington, co-host of ABC TV’s "The Revolution" and "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," will highlight the three-day Salt Lake Home Show, which begins Friday at the South Towne Expo Center, 9575 S. State St. in Sandy.

Pennington, who appears at 11 a.m. Saturday, will offer cost-conscious tips on home remodeling and construction. He’ll be among several celebrity experts and 200 vendors on hand at the show to help visitors with their next project and to provide glimpses of new products.

2 p.m.- 9 p.m., Friday; 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Saturday; 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Sunday.

Chris Cleary of Bravo TV’s "Top Chef" will appear at noon and 5 p.m. Saturday and share what inspires his kitchen dishes, while Marla Dee, creator of the ‘Clear and Simple way" series, will offer tips on how to free the clutter from your calendar and create a weekly rhythm for your life. She’ll appear at 4 p.m., Friday; 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Saturday; and 1 p.m. Sunday.

Home show hours are 2 p.m.-9 p.m., Friday; 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Saturday; 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Sunday.

Tickets are $10 for daily sessions, or $8 if you buy online at SaltLakeHomeShow.com. Tickets for seniors 60 and older are $7, while children 12 and under admitted free.
