Nine Utah companies are featured in the inaugural ranking of Inc. magazine’s national Hire Power Awards, announced earlier this month to recognize private businesses that have generated the most jobs in the past three years.
One Utah company, Four Foods Group Holdings of Highland, was 54th on the national list of the top 100 businesses that were recognized for their job creation efforts.

Most of the companies were included in the Inc. 500/5000 list in the past year and were asked to participate in the award competition because of their growth.
"The top 100 companies on the list have created 73,032 American jobs in the three-year period from 2008 to 2011 — an amazing feat, given that much of that job growth came during the heart of the recession," Inc. Editor-in-Chief Eric Schurenberg said in a statement.
Schurenberg also noted that "it isn’t just the big guys that are adding jobs. Companies with less than $50 million in annual revenue make up nearly one-third of the Hire Power list."
