Honolulu • Hawaiian Airlines plans to add two daily flights between Los Angeles and Maui to its schedule during the busy summer travel months.

The Honolulu-based airline said it's adding the flights to meet growing demand.

The flights will start in June and end in August.

The airline says passengers will be able to connect to other neighbor islands using Hawaiian's new Maui hub.

The two daily flights will add 34,000 seats to Maui's travel market over 10 weeks.

Hawaiian plans to use Boeing 767 airplanes seating 264 passengers on the route.
