Sport Clips Haircuts has opened at 613 E. 400 South in Salt Lake City.

The shop, which employs eight, offers haircuts while its patrons watch sports on televisions.

"What's better than being in a relaxing environment where sports are on TVs everywhere you look?," asked Dylan Brunjes, who owns the franchise.

Brunjes said he hopes to open two additional Sport Clips in the Salt Lake City area within the next year or so. "We won't be doing it immediately, though," he said, indicating for the near future he will be concentrating on running his initial location.

He added that appointments are not needed.

Sport Clips Haircuts is headquartered in Georgetown, Texas. It was established in 1995 and currently counts some 950 locations.
