Simply Mac launches third annual food drive

Simply Mac is in the midst of its third annual Meals for Macs food drive to benefit the Utah Food Bank.

The company will be collecting donations of canned food products through Dec. 15 at is Layton, downtown Salt Lake City, Foothill, Fort Union and Orem locations. It is also holding food drives at its St. George, Utah, Idaho Falls, Jackson, Wyo. and Grand Junction, Colo. stores to support the local food banks in those communities.

Simply Mac said any customer who donates and canned food item will receive $5 off their purchase of 50 or more.

In addition to collecting those donations, Simply Mac will donate five pounds of food to the Utah Food Bank for every computer purchased through Dec. 15.

Founded in August 2006, Simply Mac operates nine Apple Specialist retail stores in Utah, Colorado, Wyoming and Idaho.
