First Published Nov 28 2012 12:13 pm • Last Updated Nov 28 2012 04:37 pm

The following products and vehicles were recalled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Unless otherwise indicated, discontinue use of the products immediately and return them to the store where purchased for a refund. For more information about the products, call the manufacturer or CPSC’s toll-free hotline, 800-638-2772. Only some cars or trucks recalled are affected. Contact a dealer for your model to see if it is included in the recall. The dealer will tell you what to do.

Product • Master Forge Gas Grills, sold at Lowe’s stores nationwide from November 2011 through May 2012 for about $270.

Problem • If improperly installed, the hose connecting the gas tank and regulator to the burner control can touch the burner box and cause the hose to melt and rupture when the grill is lighted. This poses a fire and burn hazard. For additional information, contact Guangdong Vanward Electric toll-free at 888-584-3648 from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, or visit the company’s recall website at www.94227info.com.

Product • Aftermarket wheel hubs for 2002 - 2005 Jeep Liberty vehicles

Problem • The Timken Co. is recalling certain nonformed, front-wheel hubs, part number HA599467, which were sold to retail and automotive distributors in the automobile aftermarket as replacements designed only for use on certain 2002 through 2005, 4X4, non-ABS, Jeep Liberty vehicles. These units can be mistakenly sold to owners and installed on 4X2 versions of the Jeep vehicles. If the nonformed hub unit is installed on a 4x2 model (which does not use an axle nut for hub retention), the vehicle wheel will not be secure and a front wheel separation may occur, increasing the risk of a crash. Owners may contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888-327-4236 (800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
