Visit Salt Lake has been named the recipient of two meeting and convention industry awards.
It was named the winner of Smart Meetings’ 2012 Platinum Choice Award and Meeting and Conventions’ Gold Service Award.

The two awards were voted on by the readers of the two publications, who primarily are planners responsible for booking hundreds of thousands of meetings and conventions nationwide.
The Smart Meetings’ award recognized Visit Salt Lake for the amenities, guest services and technical and marketing support that it offered visitors. The Meetings & Conventions’ award was presented in recognition of Visit Salt Lake’s efforts in addressing the needs of meeting planners.
In addition, Visit Salt Lake also was named a "Bicycle Friendly Business" by the League of American Bicyclists for its efforts to promote a bicycle-friendly environment.
Visit Salt lake is a private, non-profit corporation that promotes the Salt Lake area as a convention and travel destination.
