The Salt Lake City-Ogden area was the 102nd most searched real estate market in the country during October, according to Realtor.com, a homes-for-sale web site.
The median list prices for home in the Salt Lake City-Ogden market hit $214,900 last month, a 7.5 percent increase from the same month a year ago, the website reported. The national median list price in October was $189,900, unchanged from last year.

There were 6,169 homes for sale in the area, a decrease of 28.2 percent compared to October 2011. National inventory counts were 1,756,818, a 17 percent decrease compared with a year ago.
The median age of inventory in Salt Lake City-Ogden was 71 days, a 5.97 percent increase compared to Sept. 2012. Nationally, the median age of inventory was 97 days, a 2.11 increase compared to September.
