U.S. Labor Department honors Utah Department of Workforce Services

The Utah Department of Workforce Services has received three awards of excellence from the U.S. Department of Labor.

The awards acknowledge the department’s work in three areas of its unemployment insurance program — unemployment benefits payments, appeals decisions, and tax operations.

The awards traditionally have been presented to several states, but this year Utah was recognized as the top performer among medium-sized states in all three categories.
