The new store is nearly twice as large as the former outlet, and includes a 4,000-square foot bargain basement, company founder Tom Coleman said.
"We are excited to be part of the vibrant downtown Ogden retail scene," Coleman said. "Our success here over the past two years has inspired us to expand. [We] thank everyone for their incredible support of a local Utah company."
Recreation Outlet has operated a store in Salt Lake City, at 3160 S. State St., for more than 25 years and in American Fork at 615 E. State Rd. for 16 years.
Stores sell camping and climbing gear, technical clothing, and other products related to outdoor and back-country activities.
Hours vary based on the time of year.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The American Fork store is closed on Sundays.
