The Utah Nonprofits Association will hold its annual conference, "Mapping for Change," in West Valley City on Thursday.
The goal of the conference is to increase the capacity of nonprofit organizations to serve the public by developing deeper collaboration within the sector and the boarder community.
"We can build more vibrant and inclusive communities if nonprofit organizations are strong and a key partner in dialogue on community issues that effect us all," said Chris Bray, executive director of the association.
Pam Perlich, senior research economist at the University of Utah, will be the keynote speaker. She will discuss Utah's demographic transformation and the implications it has for nonprofit organizations.
Also, Tim Delaney, president and CEO of the National Council of Nonprofits, will present current trends and threats facing America's charitable nonprofits and offer steps that Utah nonprofit organizations can take to meet their missions and serve their communities.
The conference will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center, 1355 W. 3100 South, West Valley City.
